One engineering draughtswoman, one engineering draughtsmen, two industrial clerks and one electronics technician for machine and drive systems
began their apprenticeship in August and made their first steps in professional life with LDW.

Liebherr Container Cranes has ordered 82 motors from Lloyd Dynamowerke (LDW), a specialised manufacturer of large electrical machines based in Germany. The order includes DC machines and asynchronous machines for use in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Lloyd Dynamowerke GmbH & Co. KG (LDW) have delivered the last of a total of 61 direct current (DC) motors for use in seven deep-sea drilling rigs to Flowserve Hamburg GmbH. The assembly of the oil platforms occurs at a shipyard in the Far East. Three of seven rigs have already been put into operation. Read more

Lloyd Dynamowerke (LDW) has delivered the prototype of a new wind energy generator to the Shandong Huali Electric Motor Group Co., China. Huali is preparing start serial production of the model to meet the demands of the nation’s fast-growing wind energy market. Lloyd Dynamowerke (LDW) and the Bremen Center of Mechatronics (BCM) have started a joint project with four other European partners to push a new technology for wind energy generators toward marketability. Using this technology, electrical machines can be 50 percent smaller and up to 70 percent lighter than current state-of-the-art machines with the same torque. Read more

KG (LDW) have secured an order to build six motors and the same number of generators for a drilling ship being constructed for the offshore oil company Transocean Inc., Houston.
